Linkin Park is a popular American nu metal band from Agoura Hills, California. The band had changed its name several times, including Xero, Hybrid Theory, to the name Linkin Park until now.
They released their first album, Hybrid Theory, in 2001. This album became their first number one on the Billboard 200. Their follow-up, Minutes to Midnight, also had a successful release, reaching number one on the Billboard 200. They released their third album, A Thousand Suns, in 200. This album also had a successful release, and it was their highest-charting album until then. Their next release was Meteora, which was their first number one on the Billboard 200. This album also had a very successful release.
After their third album, they changed their name to Linkin Park. This name change is a play on the name of a park in Los Angeles, Lincoln Park.
The band is composed of four members: Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, and Rob Bourdon.
